Scammer wants my information my account was fine

They had the last 4 numbers on my card & just wanted me to call & verify that it’s my card

This is legitimate. My debit card was declined at a grocery store today. (I don't know why. An employee pushed a button, and all was well.) This 800 number knew the last four digits of that card number, the amount of the purchase, the fact that it failed, and the fact that it was a grocery store. They wanted to know if I made the purchase.

answered, was told i called them, needed to verify fraudulent activity. agent stated she was with a credit union, didn't give name of credit union. didn't have an accurate account number, my name is not tied to a credit union account. This may be a valid fraud center but they are poorly managed and trained agents and their databases seem to be populated with bad data. best to call your bank/credit union before giving info to this group

Received a message from this number saying there was suspicious activity on my card, called my bank to confirm and they did verify it was a legitimate call though they always reccomend calling them first to verify.

my credit union automated fraud alert

I didn't know if it was scam or not, cause it was an automated caller, they knew my cards last digits but i didn't see any scam worthy activity, as they went off based on one purchase that was dated wrong on their email.

They call to say that fraud has been reported on your debit card. Do not call the number back. Instead, call the customer service number on the back of your debit card to verify the call. We did, and learned that this call was nothing but a scam, phishing for personal information. Call it at your peril. It is most certainly NOT "legit."

This is NOT a SCAM. This is an alerting system used by Kemba Financial Bank, Columbus, OH to alert the user for debit cards if suspected fraud is being done on the users Debit Card. It is legitimate.

CLAIMS to be wings finacial about concerning credit card purchases to ensure it's not fraud. But my bank statement is normal and I haven't purchased anything beyond my normal cities.
