I tried and tried to talk to someone and no one ever came on the line

Valid verified call back from the Social Security Administration. Unfortunately thier system is glitchy, and too often is silent because of improper connection, and the system disconnects without customer service coming on the line.

Wanted a lot of information

Hello, is this phone number 1 777 444 5409 a legitimate call back number from Social Security?
April 24, 2024
I gave the guy all my info and then I tried giving him the case I. D. Number but he wanted the spelling of the street. To my defense. I already gave him all my information. And I was given him the case I. D, but how can you not access the case? By the case id number he wanted the spelling of the street doesn't make any sends.

Legit callback from callback req after long waittimes with social security. Problem is my phone auto blocks auto dialers and I never got the calls; I saw later in my call log as several blocked calls. Grr. But legit. (I put customer service in category bc there IS no category for this ... robokiller you need an 'other' option or more categories.)

Is social security Calling back
March 14, 2024
OMG thank you for this! I've been panicking for the last 2 days and was about to purchase an expensive LifeLock account.. I called the SS # 1-800-772-1213 and was asked if I wanted a call back due to wait times. I opted to do that. The call back came in looking like this +7 (714) 445-40-9 and was showing as a spam call from Kazakhstan and against my better judgment I answered and spoke with the gal. It all seemed legit and they had my voice recording and asked all the normal verification questions. I did it again today just as an experiment and the same Kazakhstan # called me back. The guy told me this could be a cell carrier issue with how the numbers are staggered and in turn shows as a foreign number, but actually is not. Its legit SS calling back. THANK GOD!

Social Security Office calling back
March 6, 2024
Social Security Administration was returning my call. The wait time was 44 minutes and I elected to have a call back from the Social Security Administration. This number showed up initially as the phone was ringing as potential spam, but, was not. It was listed on the telephone, after the call, as Washington D.C. and is a number that cannot be called back. A recording stating that it cannot be connected as dialed and "message 2, US-01-LV" followed. It probably is an outgoing only call number in the Social Security Administration's call center. Robokiller lists it as Social Security, which it is. A call without a request might be suspicious. If it is this same telephone number, it probably is legitimate. It could be possible for this telephone number to be spoofed and appear as the Social Security Administration telephone number that is calling you, but in actuality, is not. Of course, one would not give out any personal information without positively identifying the caller or answering an expected return call and verifying, nonetheless. If the caller is asking for sensitive information that he should have if he actually works for the Social Security Administration, there are ways to prove this without him giving out your sensitive information or you doing the same, such as a partial address, bank account, or social security number, or the like, that only both parties would know the beginning, middle, and end of. One could also request a verifiable telephone number to call the Social Security Administration on and speak with the caller, or another customer service representative, who could verify who you are and give the peace of mind of knowing that the Social Security Administration employee on the other end of the telephone is indeed someone who has the authority to address one's concerns with the Social Security Administration.
