I've used United Healthcare, have them in my contacts. A 763 number shows, not in my contacts, claims to be UHC on Caller ID. They want name, address, DOB. Do not respond, and hang up on this scam.

They called me back from this number since I had requested a refund. Legit caller, not a scam. They are most likely customer service representatives who are outsourced to other countries other than the US like many other major companies and corporations customer service support.

the phone number even showed as United Health Care. The called tried to get my information but I hanged up. He said my claim were denied , I did not file a claim.

claimed from United Health Care wanted to verify a medical claim. All the information they provided are suspicious and I don't have United Health Care insurance. The guy said my ID may be stolen to purchase the medical insurance with them in May and filed a medical claim in June. The guy gave me a claim number and said he would transfer me to the claim department so that I can file a fraud complaint. The I got disconnected. The guy spoke poor English at first and then switched to speak in Mandarin. They got my name, my phone number and work address. I won't give them any of my personal information.

Caller says they are with Optum/United Health Care, but asked for information they should already have record of, like the number of employees we have insured through them. I was polite in case the call was legitimate, but did not answer their specific questions, pretending I did not know. I mentioned to her that she should have record of this information since it's all on our account, and then she decided that she didn't need specific numbers. Tried calling the number back and get an automated message that says, "You've reached the United Health Group outbound only line. Please call the number left on your voicemail, or call the number on the back of your membership ID card. Thank you." Then it disconnects. I believe this was a fraudulent call. Do not give personal information.
