We had recently signed up for a timeshare with IHG Club Vacations. I received a call from this number with the caller claiming to be with IHG. He tried to share an "offer" to rent out my timeshare to corporate users. The supposed deal was for a certain investment on our part we would receive a guaranteed 4x ROI within 60-90 days. The caller sounded very convincing, he knew a lot about the timeshare and was speaking the same "language" as the legit people. Although it sounded like a great deal it was a little suspicious to me so I called a known IHG Club Vacations number to ask them about it and they told me it was a scam. Others have been calling them to inform them about the "offer" too, and unfortunately some had fallen for it and provided their CC info. I asked the true IHG rep how the scammer would have had my contact info and she told me that because I signed up for a mortgage loan to purchase the time share it goes on public record. She said she would forward my information to the legal department and suggested I block the number and not speak to them again.
