They called and left number, I called back and he answered as Social Security. He asked for my name, I refused. Scam message same as listed above.

On Friday I August 23 I received 3 calls a hour apart telling me it was SSA. Please call immediately this is a time sensitive case. I did not answer let it go to voice mail I didn't call them back I researched and found that other people had received this call from the same number 1-725-213-2853. I know that social security would never call me on my cell. I was sure it was a scam.

I get these calls all the time from hundreds of different numbers and or fake organizations saying I’m gonna go to jail if I don’t pay them a obvious amount that amazingly matches either a part of my phone number or address! Say my address was 1234 crazy road I’d somehow owe them $1,234.00 that’s what they do they use your info to make up a what sometimes seems like a reasonable amount to some people and that’s how they get you and sadly 4 out of 10 people fall for it especially like it says above if they are older and or receive a check from SSI or disability checks and they depend upon them to live. That’s why when someone calls my grandmother who I take care of I say let me talk to them and if they don’t want to and trust me they don’t because I chew them out I’ve even had one local scammer meet me n the police were there waiting because they had been knocking on doors of a senior apartment building my great aunt was living at before she passed and somehow had gotten passed the locked front lobby and were all dressed up in Business attire and were knocking on random doors saying they were from social security administration and that they were there to claim money that had been overpaid to people and these sick people got thousands from these poor people afraid they would lose their social security checks so I told one of the people that I had to go to the ATM for my aunt so she could pay them cuz she didn’t have her check book on her and they were like oh ok well we will wait out front when u get back because we have other places to stop so I call the police told them what was going on and oddly enough they had gotten calls about this same thing for the last couple of days but never saw anybody so they told me to drive to the atm act like I’m getting money I went in and bought a drink so it wasn’t suspicious looking and an undercover police car pulled up at the apartment building and waited for me to pull up and as soon as the people walked out of the building they grabbed me and arrested them they had gotten over $11,000 from the people in her building that day thankfully they all get their money back and the got charged with felony fraud and grand theft but ended up getting 15 years each due to prior charges pending as well!!!! Good they deserved it and they deserve to pay money to all those people they stole from for the rest of there miserable lives.
