Someone called me leaving a voicemail about qualifying me for a student debt relief program. When I called back, they wanted to verify my information (phone, etc) and I asked for their company name. I was told they work for Student Loan Services and that they work in affiliation with The Department of Education for federal loans. I told them I'm not agreeing to anything or verifying anything until I do research on their company. They didn't even know if they have a website when I asked for one. I told them I'm not signing up for anything until I research because there are lots of scams out there and they hung up on me.
