I received a call from 1-678-969-7817 that said Hello this call concerns an important business matter please return our call to Piedmont Healthcare at 678-969-7817. This is a scam, I checked my account on MyChart and everything is fine, nothing due.

Claimed they were Piedmont Hospital. Requested my date of birth and address before they would provide the would begin the nature of the call. I told the caller that I do not give my DOB to people and if they were Piedmont Hospital they have it. They then hung up.

Scammer claiming to be Piedmont Hospital Billing called me and would not share the nature of the call until I verified both my DOB and address, I only verified my DOB and then it hit me that this might be a scammer cause I’ve never had Piedmont hospital call me. They even gave me PO hospitals 888 number and said to press option 6 for billing. I hung up and called Piedmont hospital billing department directly myself, and they had no notion of this phone number or any reason for them to be calling me as everything is in good standing with my account. Be careful with the scammers claiming to be Piedmont don’t give your information.
