They buy unrecoverable or written off medical debt and other debt for pennies on the dollar, then try to collect the money. They can and will ding your credit report. They are predatory and aggressive in their tactics, spoofing phone numbers. Their bookkeeping is very slipshod, often not reflecting payments and misdirecting payments if you have multiple accounts in collection. They have multiple offices in multiple states.
