Claimed to be from "Toyota" and wanted to offer an extended warranty on our nearly 10-year-old vehicle. I took a while to answer but it was a real live person (male) with a generic (midwest?) U.S. accent. I asked very basic questions and he hung up. Don't answer - waste of time and can only be a scam or at least a huge ripoff with these tactics.

Called. Waited 10 seconds after I said hello and hung up. Called the number back and it said "thank you for calling customer service, if you would like to be removed press" Don't press anything. Just block.
