The same thing happened to me except it's been the exact same number but leaves an empty voicemail. I once did pick up and I lied and said that I was not there and I asked who was calling, they just ignored my question then continued to ask to speak to my spouse and I lied again saying he's not available and once more asked who was calling and they just ignored me and hung up, but they still call me multiple times a day.

Call without leaving a voicemail. i have had other calls with similar numbers with the last 2 number only being different. Most likely some kind of scam or telemarketer.
