Computer Security Scam
Caller Name: Apple Support Scam

Same message, called 8 times leaving partial voicemail messages. Spoofing actual Apple store number from the Domain shopping center here in Austin. GO AWAY YOU ASSHATS! Those saying this is legit are obviously idiots, or in on the scam. Actual Apple Store rep was called and I reported incident...says their store will never, never request a remote login.

nearly tricked into giving up my apple id login password

Computer Security Scam
Caller Name: scammers

very sophisticated phone call scam to steal your apple id login password and from their, worse I am guessing. Steps the scam uses, 1st you get a call from an automated, informing you that your icloud acct has been comprised, press 1 to speak to someone. Then you get a live rep who asks a series of questions about logins from another location, are you sharing your id with anyone, have you logins into any wifi lately etc. Sounds very legit but isnt. Then they ask you to login into your computer, type in a web address and they give you a security key which then installs downloads and installs a program that allows them to remotely run your computer, then they ask you to login into your email so you can get a password reset for your id. dont login to your email Finally, your in front of a webpage where you are resetting your password in front of them and thats when they steal your apple id login. So dont do that. hangup. Go to your control panel/programs and features and uninstall the new programs they tricked you into installing.
