I just got a missed call from 877-366-1121. I called it back and it was BofA. The number showed up on my missed calls log on my iPhone, and was the real BofA number. Now... I have my phone service w/ Google-Fi, and voicemails are accessed through their app rather than the iPhone's native voicemail in the phone app. I saw in my Google-Fi app notice that there was a new voicemail from the same time as the missed call, but the number is a completely different number (463) 274-3852. (The voicemail was just 9 seconds of silence.) About an hour later, I missed another call from the 877 number (they must have seen I tried to call them back?) this was well outside the hours that BofA call centre operates (by several hours). Clearly they have been able to fake the number shown in caller ID on the iPhone, but something about the Google-Fi service seems to have unmasked the real number that was calling.
