I was given a phone number to call about an Insurance Audit from an employee of a Company I work for. When I called, the rep claimed to help with IRS Tax Liens. I told the rep that I wasn't aware of any IRS tax liens and that I would call the IRS directly to take care of the outstanding taxes. Rep told me NOT to call the IRS but to call the County Clerk. I asked why I would call the County Clerk about a Federal IRS issue and she said that the County Clerk is the office that could help. Right....
