UCSF FLU SHOT REMINDER

NOT A SCAM They had my daughter’s name (a minor) and were inquiring about her next flu shot. This was not a person, but a robocall message with a press 1, press 2 format, but they did gave my daughter’s full name. I do not believe this to be a scam, although I was very skeptical and had blocked a text a received from this number earlier.

Have a nice day, goodbye.‘ Also, was sent from the same phone number exact same message as a text. Weird..seeing as I don’t get flu shots unless I’m in admitted hospital care which has been all of twice my entire life. UCSF is my hospital & PCP’s are all within the UCSF umbrella. Although, it seems legit I still don’t answer this call/text because ALWAYS do my providers & their own teams at UCSF reach out for any reason through MyChart right before or immediately after they call my phone. I didn’t get any messages from this appt. reminder & they’ve contacted me three times alone this week. Answer at your own discretion, I suppose.

After getting multiple inconsistent phone calls, I submitted my flu shot record with my primary doctor at UCSF. I still get the same calls and do not trust answering this number. I have received automated reminder appointment calls from UCSF from 303 area code.

They called twice today without leaving messages. Caller ID says "UCSF Flu Appt" but the exchange is a Mill Valley exchange and UCSF isn't in Mill Valley, that's an entirely different county.

This is not a scam. They called to update the record of when and where I got my flu shot, as I got it elsewhere this year.
