Someone called pretending to be from the IRS and asked for my Social Security number to “verify” the call. Don’t fall for it - it’s a scam. Just hang up and don’t give out any info. I never share personal details over the phone with anyone, no matter what. This phone number has already been reported to both federal and state authorities, and it’s also listed on several websites where people report scam calls to warn others. The number I entered here is accurate and has no typos. I double-checked it before submitting this comment. Stay alert and don’t engage with these kinds of calls.
