Be sure you reference your case number [What case number??] Clearly a scam, and a threatening one at that. Any real debt collector would provide enough factual information. Also, real debt collectors usually don't try to contact people who have no debts.

Spam call, does not ask for who they're even calling for or what company they're calling from. Transcript of voicemail (note that the incoming recorded message started before VM actually starts recording, so the very beginning is cut off): "(garbled computer voice).... (female recorded voice) in regard to a formal complaint that's in process of being filed for several different matters. I'm calling to verify that we do have the correct address for this individual. The next step will be filing necessary paperwork within your county. At this time you do have the right to contact the information center. Should you wish to exercise that right press 1 to be connect to an agent, or you can contact number 320-201-7189. When calling in ensure to reference your case number (garbled computer voice) 2756."

I've told them this countless times yet the calls continue. When I block one number, they call on another. I'm ready to have my phone number changed.

These Idiots keep calling trying to say they will come to your place of employment or residence and serve you. These scammers all they do is research your information find out a creditor you had in the past mainly items that are over 7 years old. they are to stupid to realize there is statute of limitations on civil suits, not only that if you own them something the company will write it off and sell it to a collection agency to try and recoup some money. And try and say they filed charges against you. they try to bully you into giving them information. DO not i repeat DO NOT give them any information they are just trying to scam you out of money

Getting the same message is everybody else. One thing I can tell you that if they are legitimate they cannot threaten to serve you with papers if they're not legally authorized to do so. If they make that threat in order to try and get you to pay and their client is not I should say he has not given them authorization to pursue legally than they are in violation of the fdcpa

Called saying I owed money and that they were going to serve me papers so they needed my address and also that I had a chance to pay now to avoid further legal action. First off, if it was real, they would not need my address. the county court and law enforcement would have it. 2nd, If it was real, you would not get a warning call, they would just serve you papers much less have a chance to pay off a balance. Finally, I asked just for fun, what is the case number so that I can call the county court and they said "oh well, its not filed yet". I then told them everything I just said above and they hung up on me. Don't fall for it!

Said there was a complaint filed against me for several different matters. LOL who in their right mind calls you to confirm an address if they are going to serve you, they should already have this information. What a bunch of losers, bring it on. I have no idea what this is in reference to. I've gotten calls like this before and waited 7 hours for them to show up at my office to serve me. They didn't show up. Don't give them any information if you do answer and there is a real person on the end. If you validate the lies they are telling you, the phone calls will increase.
