How do these thieves get away with this scam? They give a contact number which should be traceable by the relevant authorities.And they choose a rawtha patrician voice to utter their threats. One can just imagine how frightened such calls would be to uninformed seniors. What despicable people there are in this world to victimize the elderly!

Yep, they just called me. Said my SS account had suspicious activity and they were suspending it, then gave me a number to call. Some guy with a British accent. It was so obviously a scam, I had to laugh. What kind of dolt falls for this stuff? I know, I know, old folks. Just for kicks, I called the number they gave me, but it didn't go through.
