If only these people knew that bothering me by phone puts them at the bottom of my list, especially when calling me at work. Send snail mail or you get nothing! Love the American Red Cross, but I don't need calls!

They knew my name - said they were a paid caller from the American Red Cross - kept rambling on about some kind of special group - after 2 minutes of talking I interrupted her to tell her that the call was way too long and I wasn't interested in whatever they were asking for. Upon which they told me that they would call me back later in the week.

Claimed to be from Red Cross, thanking me for their support, tried to get me to say "yes" in response to "is this (my name)" Lost interest when it was obvious I was onto them.
