What is this scam? How do I determine if this is a scam?

School robocalls are usually legitimate. Schools use robocalling to make announcements for closures, early departures, and other school-wide announcements. Legitimate school robocalls will never ask for your personal information or any kind of payment over the phone. Be wary of any school robocall that requests a payment of any kind. Even if it's something that could be legitimate, like a couple bucks for a missed lunch fee, the scammers may use your payment information for larger payments. Always call the school directly to verify any debt or payment. Additionally, do not provide personal information to these robocallers.
