Caller identified as Chase Bank credit card fraud dept and did have last four digits of my ssn. They said someone in TX has opened a cc on my file and they then transferred me to "consumer protection organization" to verify all my credit cards

Same situation happened to me. Called Chase and they said they will never connect you to a 3rd party vendor. BEWARE

Caller identified as Chase Bank credit card fraud dept and did have last four digits of my ssn. They said someone in TX has opened a cc on my file and they then transferred me to "consumer protection organization" to verify all my credit cards. It was then that I knew it was a scam and I hung up.
