Same message & actually had last 4 of my social. Total SCAM! Tried to say I got a $3lk loan they were going to garnish me for. I haven't gotten a loan in over 20yrs.!

Got a call from this number stating that his name is Charles Weinberg and he did not expect to get my voice mail. "Actually calling you because some documents that were tied directly to your ID and also to your social were sent into our offices yesterday". Do not call this person back. I think this is a scam

240-304-3668 is another scam number leaving a scripted voice message. DO NOT answer and DO NOT call them back. Block their number.

The script listed here is verbatim what was left on my voicemail. The voice makes it sound genuine and a normal guy just calling to help you and tries to give you a sense of urgency. No reference to my name or anything so that is a huge red flag already, and they are calling from the east coast when I am on the west. Total SCAM, I chose not to engage and blocked the number. Be careful out there!

So here it the transcript from this SCAMMER: THINK PEOPLE!!!!!!! "Hey this is Charles Weinberg I didn't expect to get your voicemail but either way when you get this message I need you to give me a call, I'm actually calling you because some "documents" that were tied directly to your "ID" and also to your "Social" were actually sent into our "offices" yesterday and being the fact that is is "income tax season" I want to protect your privacy and not leave so many details on your voicemail, so just give me a call back. I'll probably be in the office today all day. I'm actually taking lunch between the hours of 12:30 and 1:30 but after that I'll definitely be here and available to explain the details, take care" 1. Documents - what document and from whom? 2. Your ID - what ID? 3. Social - I guess supposedly my Social Sec. but that is BS 4. Offices - what offices? Who do you work for? Where are these offices? 5. Income Tax Season - in July? and more importantly who does this person supposedly work for? No business name or anything.

Attention all: beware of the notorious Mr. Charles "Scammer" Weinberg, a master of leisure who prefers to leech off others rather than secure a real job. This charming individual has been known to leave voicemails claiming your documents are problematic due to Tax Season, and he'd just love to discuss it further with you - presumably to get his hands on your personal info. Let's be crystal clear: DO NOT ENGAGE. Do not provide this scammer with any personal information. The phone number in question appears to originate from Capital Heights, MN, but let's be real, Mr. Weinberg is likely lounging in a tropical paradise (or more likely, his mom's basement) somewhere far, far away - perhaps in Africa or Jamaica. To all would-be victims, heed this warning: don't feed the troll. Let Mr. Weinberg starve in his mom's basement, surrounded by dusty trophies and fading hopes of ever becoming a productive member of society. Stay vigilant, and stay safe!
