Called multiple times, phone line continued to cut out. Was asked if I lived in NJ and if I had placed an application for a credit card in Chicago, IL just a few minutes prior. Asked if I had authorized any family or friends to apply for a card in my name. Gave me a case ID, then transferred me over to Experian. The person at Experian gave me the wrong address - somewhere I had never lived before. Then wouldn't tell me the name on the account that he was reading. Requested my current address. I refused to give my address. I was transferred back to Wells Fargo. She read me my old address, but when asked what my name was gave me a last name that was never mine. Then said well, your other last name is this. I told her it was a scam and hung up. Then they continued to call back until I blocked the number.
