Received a call from a man who did not state who he was, where he was calling from, or who he was calling. His message stated "listen closely to this message our office is making our final attempt and delivering the 17 complaint orders to appear in court to the property address attached to this phone record. someone over the age of 18 with a valid state-issued identification must be present and available to sign and except these documents, if a signature of receipt sis not registered on the packet an FTA registration will be filed against the owner of this phone record contact the issue ____ legal office for further details at 1-855-996-1579 case file number is DA-1029 this is your final notification. When I called this number the man who answered did not tell me where I was calling just asked for my "Case number" when I gave it to him he transferred me to another man who told me I had an outstanding bill of $8,731 to citi financial from 2008 and they are wanting payment. I asked this man if he could give me his office's name to which he gave me the name of Oates and Associates law firm in LA. I attempted to look this up but came up with nothing so I asked for their website address and he said they didn't have one I asked for a local phone number with an LA area code and he told me they didn't have one as they work nationally so I asked for their mailing address and this made me mad and said it would be on my summons. I told him I was asking for this for my own security so he gave me an address of 205 S Broadway in LA which when looked up it is a 10-story building so I asked for a suite number and he said they did not have one. I told him it seemed odd to me that they did not have a suite number, local phone number, or even a website to verify who they were. He informed me all this would be on my papers when I'm served when I asked what state this would be filed in the stated that too would be on the paperwork as their office only deals with the paperwork, not the court filing. I told him I'd like more information on this before I agree to anything even if this supposed debt was actually mine. He called me a deadbeat and hung up.

I got a call from 213-394-0564 stating I ow money and that I will be taking to court if I don't pay. Then the lady gives me a number I must call 855-996-1579 with a case number she gave me 2022-386-37. They said I owed 10k from chase and that if I don't pay they will put a hold on my accounts. Then They asked me what can I pay I said 1000 and they were ok if that's all you can pay then that's fine. I laughed at them and hung up. I'm sure they are doing this to many people so just wanted to give you a heads up.

We are making our final attempt to service court summons to the property address attached to this phone, record. The documents require a signature for proper service and delivery. Someone over the age of 18 must be present and available contact the issuing agents, legal department for further in information. At 8889602126 reference case V A 1029 failure to communicate with the office will result in penalties and fines under title 18. Section 1501 will fill evasion of service." Spanish voice-male, scary-like/robotic sounding voice left a threatening voice-mail message instructing to contact to 1-888=673-5077(I googled this number and it looks suspicious, Chinese letters) like without leaving any clear information as to who was being contacted and what the call was really all about. Sounds very much like most of those phishing-scam calls looking for a way to get your sensitive banking, ss#, address, Tel#, and full-name info. I blocked this number immediately.

Called place of employment from 213 area code. Then 10 minutes later he called from a 770 area code. Both calls by same guy name Andrew with an Indian accent. Said he was with a court service ready to serve summons. Wanted to know if someone is available to sign for the document. LOL, process server scam.

Called for family member who has been estranged for over 40 years stating they were serving court papers. Scam. Used maiden name also.

Sounds very much like most of those phising-scam calls looking for a way to get your sensitive banking, ss#, address, tel#, and full-name info. Blocking the number. , as usual.

Calling with maiden name lol used over 32years ago saying they have paperwork that will be processed/filed. Told bad english speaking woman she did not sound official, since she could not pronounce certain words. Asked to be mailed information, she started talking loud so I hung up. Had a call a few months back, gentlemen said I didn't sound concerned, welp um NO.
