same as above comments. someone trying to use zelle with my mobile number to get money from my accounts. I do not have a chase account. I called my bank and found no such thing was happening and when the second person got on the phone. I stated this sounds fishy and it is a scam. He hung up the phone. These criminals should spend their time doing good instead of trying to bilk money from hard working citizens. the phone number used for this scam is 212-888-3078

212-888-3078..same story. That a Linda Moore used my phone number to open an account and charged $2000 and another $3000. He proceeded to give me a case # and 2 separate confirmation numbers for the charges. He then told me to hold on that he was transferring me over to the fraud dept. Little did he know..I was on already on another line waiting to be connected to the fraud dept with chase myself. This other guy picks up... definitely sounded young and from the streets. My bank picks up and confirms no such thing has happened. The other guy just hangs up. You know my biggest wish???? For this to happen to their family members!!!!

Same rehearsal as the other comments, someone named Linda Moore was attempting to open an account some how with just my phone number, and transfer $2k and $3k into or out of an account I had somehow? Very fishy, and while on the phone I got two voicemails from the same number, one just said 'Chase Bank' and the other was the guy i was on the phone with saying "leave me the *** alone, Bob" not sure who Bob is but probably his scammer boss saying he needed to hook more people to fall for the scam.

Caller said he was from JP Morgan Chase and that someone had tried to open a checking account in my name. I asked how I could verify that the call was legitimate and he told me to google the phone number. I found this website and hung up. He tried calling back until I blocked the number.

Fraud-DO NOT FALL FOR THIS Called to say someone was using my Zelle account to send money to "O'neill" in Dallas, Texas. Provided a Case number and two additional numbers for each of the transactions. Proceeded to transfer me to a supervisor who wanted me to log into my Zelle, enter to send money and then input their "codes" to block the transaction. This is FRAUD and Chase needs to disassociate from this number as it shows up as a Chase office.

I just had the same experiance from the same number. Said someone named Linda Moore opened a checking account and credit card in my name. Gave me some ridiculous case number etc., and then transferred me to a "specail fraud unit".. That guy sounded like a real creep and was trying to lead me down the road to probably give him condidential inro. I told him I needed to confirm these facts with my relationship manager at Chase and would conference the call with him. He hung up about 20 seconds later. This number and the people calling are a SCAM and beware.

Number 212-888-3078 Called claiming they were chase bank. Said a Linda Moore was trying to open up an account with my information and gave me "the phone type", an email, 2 charges in the amount of $2K and $3K said was made through Zelle with 2 verification codes and used my phone number as a verification. I asked if they used my number how come i didnt receive a text for verification when they opened the account he says well since it is suspicious that is why we are calling you as they transactions were put on hold. It was fishy from the start. The number not being an 800 number had me run to my computer as i dragged them along on the phone call until i looked up scams and the number and came across multiple others receiving the same info. I went to chases contact information and found the fraud line and reported this information to them so that they can also alert customers.

They called me about someone opening an account using my name and mobile number which I was told multiple times is a trick to create a bridge to access other bank accounts attached to my number. Gave me a case number and numbers for 2 transactions, one for $2,000 and the other for $1,500. I was guided to create a Zelle transaction that would allegedly be the only way to cancel the fraudulent transactions. I was asked to include the transaction number, the amount, and adding the word VOID in all caps in the memo section. At that point I said I wasn't comfortable with the process and will be contacting my bank.

Received call from 1-212-888-3078. Call began in Spanish. After I yelled out "English" an American joined call. Claimed a person named Jessica O'Neil attempted to get two transactions from my TD Bank account. They knew my name and cell number. Said the request was from an iPhone 13 Max Plus. Case #JPM542685 Cancelation ID # 000199896 for $2,000 Cancelation ID # 00049862 for $500 Instructed me to add the email something like Zerpa2014@gmail.com to my Zelle contacts. I refused and hung up

Fraud department called me one guy in Spanish transferred me to a white dude asked me someone tried taking 2500 from zelle and something about needing to cancel the transactions so I ask if they knew who I was talking to and they hung up cause they never asked for my name or anything.
