I kept getting calls from a guy with a Polish accent who was calling from 212-596-1400, claiming that $6,000 was removed from my bank account. He asked me to verify if the transaction was legitimate and said they would send me a new card. However, I knew something wasn’t right because when I checked my bank account, everything was fine. I looked up the number and saw that it’s associated with a bank in New York. However, it seems like someone hacked their way into using the same number to scam people out of money. Please be aware! Turn off your cards and contact your bank directly to confirm if any fraud has occurred on your account.

experiencing repeated phone calls from the number 212-596-1400 throughout the day.The caller ID indicates that the calls are coming from Wells Fargo; however, I have reason to believe these are spoofed calls. I have received multiple calls from this number, and each time the caller claims to be a representative of Wells Fargo, asking for personal information related to my accounts. I am concerned about the potential for identity theft and the misuse of my personal information, as these calls are not legitimate. I would appreciate your assistance in looking into this matter. It is troubling to receive calls that seem to impersonate a reputable institution, and I would like to ensure that my personal data is protected from any fraudulent activity.

I am writing to formally report and express my concern about a series of spoofed calls I have received that appear to be associated with Wells Fargo. Over the past few days, I have received a total of 10 calls from the number 212-596-1400. Each time, the caller ID displayed "Wells Fargo," leading me to believe that the calls were legitimate. However, upon answering, I quickly realized that these were not genuine calls from your institution. This situation is not only frustrating but also raises security concerns regarding potential phishing attempts. I understand that caller ID spoofing is a serious issue, and I wanted to bring it to your attention so that appropriate measures can be taken to address it.

Repeatedly receiving calls from 212-596-1400 and also 1-877-647-8552 from a spoof number saying WELLS FARGO on the caller id but it is not the bank. Also there would be no reason for me to be contacted by anyone from there because I do not bank with WELLS FARGO!!!! BE AWARE!!!!!

Its someone spoofing a random wells fargo address in New York. Its a normal branch...but they claim to be fraud protection. Its a phishing scheme to try and get enough info to steal your identity. Just ask them if you should start tracing their phone number and you'll get a string of curse words in Arabic before they hang up.
