Caller ID said Chase and 212-462-4262. We do have Chase accounts and he asked for my wife by name. He said someone is trying to open a Chase account in her name. He said he was from the "fraud probation" or "fraud prevention" department, I couldn't tell after 5 tries. I only understood 50% of his rapid-fire Hispanic or Asian Indian accent. I asked him to stop and tell me what he wanted me to do. He refused and continued speed reading from his script, blabbing on how serious this is. I interrupted him again and told him to get Chase to have someone call me who I can understand. I hung up. He called back, agitated, and said if someone takes all my money that it's my fault, and he hung up. I sent a message about the call to Chase, just in case it's true. But I don't believe Chase would hire someone who spoke English this badly and so rudely. I'm sure if I remained on the call, it would have ended with him asking for account numbers, expiration date, and security code.

Caller with thick accent said a credit card was attempted to be opened in my name in Texas. The number (203) 462-4262 comes up as legit Chase Bank and is tied to a New York branch but has been reported as scam on several sites. Not sure what they wanted from me, shady language and scary encounter.

Otis Milburn from what sounded like a different country than USA stated a credit card application was submitted on my behalf to Chase and if I did not speak with one of his representatives instead of declining this application fully agreeing it was a fraud application he would APPROVE it I asked for all this information Employee ID # -E11391 Phone number to call back - 212-462-4262 Email-creditcards/chase.com He then stated if I would not let him transfer me to Consumer Financial Protection Beaue the next level I was wasting HIS Time and he would be forced to approve this application and hung up on me

Calling concerning CC application that we didn't apply for. Spoke in heavily accented English. Said his name was Tom Cooper. When he was informed that application was false, he connected me to someone at the consumer bureau. When I wouldn't give him any information, he hung up.
