Called with same story as above. Said from Capitol One and someone trying to transfer money. I asked him for last four of acct number and he could not provide for me. Said he needed to relay this to his “back office”. Guy sounded sketchy the whole time. Shaky voice. Must have been a new hire scammer. But call came up showing from Capitol One and matches a number for a NY office. But was after business hours. Called number on back of my card and company made no such call or showed any signs of transaction.

same. claimed he was david scott from capital one. I hung up and called back number on back of card--no transactions--100% fraud call from this number 212-419-3100.

Called saying there was $2,500 charge to my card. Claimed it was from Texas. Then they started ask for my address and email. Hung up called the number on the back of the card told them what happened.

Heads up people know that Banks don't make these phone calls... this Asian lady said she was calling from the Capitol One's verification dept...ya, right... there was all kinds of static on the line &she couldn't make sense... I was just playing with her cuz I knew the minute I saw the # on caller ID I knew it was bogus.

Also gave me a better number to call them 260-777-5640. Called Capitol One and the numbers are not part of there System. They ended the call by telling me about a Debit Consolidation Companies phone number

Said they were with capital one trying to say they had legal notice to close my account, and tried to get me to close 4 credit cards and consolidate through a financial relief company. Very persistent.
