Received a call from 203-730-0504, that registered as CHASE. I answered to a male voice initially, and in the next word spoken, it was female. That was suspicious, first of all. The foreign-accented lady was frantically speaking, telling me that someone in Dallas, TX, had sent in a request for a new credit card in my name. She immediately gave me a case number and wanted to put a call through to Experian. I told her I would call them, myself, because I felt uneasy about just being transferred to another company. She said she was trying to help me; and that if I called Experian, myself, they would charge me $975 to help with the identity theft. I asked more questions requested credit card limit, which was $5400. Application’s address was 45 Concord Rd, Dallas, TX 38302. Again, she was adamant about connecting me to Experian. I told her I would speak to them. I NEVER SAID “YES” or “OK”!!!! If she asked a question, like, “Haven’t I told you all the information and not asked you for anything?”, I said “Your have.” Finally, she asked if I would let her transfer me to them, and I said, “I will speak with Experian.” She told me to hold, and I hung up. Immediately, I got a call from 623-587-6494, which also came up as ”Chase”, and I ignored the call. The phone rang again, immediately, from the number 302-594-8200 “spam risk”. I answered and told her that the original number possibly has questionable activity, and she said the numbers are in internal secured lines, so they aren’t recognized as being legitimate. She went through the whole thing of her needing to transfer me, because the normal cost is $945, and this case will keep me from any charges… “I don’t think they will charge you” was her next sentence. Once again, she insisted that I be transferred to Experian. I told her I will speak with them. She NEVER GOT A “YES”, so instead of transferring me, she disconnected the call. She has not called back. I will be contacting my credit card companies and the 3 credit rating companies, via their contact information.
