Back to back calls from this number but refused to answer

Repeatedly asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my social security number. Knew my name, but refused to tell me anything about what it was concerning and after asking 5 times she told me she was from "Unicomm Asset Recovery". The number shows Kearny, NJ but company shows Kentucky and all reports show scam for social security?! On my blocked list now.

LOL I spend most of my time in my car for work. When I get these calls from numbers I dont know I turn on my radio to the AM stations that are playing mexican music and then ansewr the phone nd just put it by the speaker. They hang up pretty fast

She asked for me by name and gave the last 4 digits of my SSN, asking me to confirm. I said I'm not confirming or denying anything until you tell me who this is. She said Unicom Asset Recovery (I think). I asked her to repeat it, but still am unsure. She then repeated the last 4 of my SSN and asked me to confirm. I asked what she was calling about, and she said, "A personal business matter." RED FLAG. I looked up the company and they're located in Kentucky. But the call came from a NJ area code. So this smells like bullshit to me.

Seems to be some sort of debt collector, as they are not forthcoming with why they are calling. Even though my wife and I have pristine credit, I played along. I spoke to a female with a call center accent named "Dana Mayberry" (yeah, right) who said she is with Uniden and is trying to reach my wife regarding a personal matter. They wanted to verify her SS last 4, and I told them to tell me what they show. They refused. She started to get testy, as did I and she hung up. I called back several times and they hung up on me without speaking. They finally answered amd I advised them I wouldn't be sharing any personal or financial information with them over the phone, and until they could tell me who they were, the nature of their business and why they are calling in detail they can communicate with us strictly via the US mail.

They are unethical and will insist on payment even if your debt cant be enforced in court because of the statute of limitations and is too old to report to the credit reporting agencies. DO NOT ANSWER OR COOPERATE IN ANY WAY.

Got a call from this number and the lady says "mr. Blah blah?" I say yeah. Then she says this is a personal matter and this call will be recorded, my response was "that is ok, i am also recording this call." She then said "since you are recording this call i must hang up now." Click she hung up, i didnt even get a chance to mess with her. And yes, of course she had that indian accent lol

Just called me. Asked for me by my previous married name (I now have a different last name) said "before we can go any farther please verify the last 4 of your Dan" (which they had). I asked where they were calling from. They said uniden (phonetic). Asked me again to verify my ssn and what was it regarding. They said they can not tell me unlesa I veridy. I said I will not verify or deny my ssn until you tell me what its regarding. He said "you are not the only (name) in the universe ok bye" and hung up. I'm guessing SCAM!!!$

Answered call, no sound on the other end. Said hello to caller twice, then the caller hung up on me. Called back, answering machine said an agent would be with me in a moment. Never said what agent or for what company or to assist with what. Smells like a scam with a weak backup to fake being legit. Number blocked and moved on with my day

Got a call asking if I was so & so. I would not say & asked her name. She said "Sally" I kept asking for full last name with spelling & name of company & address she worked for. Of course she would ntot say. Just to iirtate her I kept asking over & over. She finally hung up. I refuse to verify my name with anyone I don't know
