This is a legit number. Typically for your local communications regarding city, county, school messages, school closures, school lockdowns, fugitive in your area, and etc. alerts. Usually one has to sign up for this IVR call system by providing this number to your school system for instance. I'm sure sometimes it happens that an incorrect telephone number gets added and people get calls by mistake.

Any legitimate telephone alert message would not begin "Press 1 for an important message". Can't believe how many people here think the alleged crime emergency is real. Other folks have called their local law enforcement agency and found they knew nothing about these calls.This is just a way to fish for active phone numbers.

Sounded like a local emergency announcement recording. It's March 2020 now, so it was related to the CoVid 19, and the stay home that was ordered for the state of CA. It was just public information. It was legit.

The vm was an Asian woman and it SOUNDS like a live person, bit I listened to multiple vm’s and they’re identical. Even the pauses. Absolutely a recording. She said the name of the person she was calling and it was not me. I couldn’t understand what she was saying the call was supposed to be about.
